Interesting. My oversimplified answer would be, yes, if we are the same – human. The more complex we are, the more complex the choices in men – some may represent our “traditional” side, others may represent our “wild” side, but in my 36 years of life, I have come to the conclusion that our main relationship is (most of the time). We look at mirrors and projections.
Of course there is some evolution in loving people as they are and even when they are not like us – but I still think it all comes back to working out who we are, our complexities, the parts that include our parents and so on.
