In Episode 496, astrologer Chris Brennan discusses the transit of Uranus in Gemini and how astrologers relate it to major wars in United States history.
In the first part of the episode, astrologer Luke Broughton (1828-1899) was the first astrologer to observe the connection between Uranus and major wars in US history, which he used to predict the outbreak of the Civil War in the early 1860s.
Later I will discuss Evangeline Adams (1868-1932), an astrologer who used Uranus in Gemini transit to predict the beginning of US involvement in World War II in her 1931 book.
Next I think about one of the first episodes of The Astrology Podcast, called Episode 11. Uranus and United States Astrologyhere I discuss this transit with Nick Dagan Best and the meaning that it predicts another major war after Uranus enters Gemini in 2025.
This is also a sequel to episode 376 Return of Uranus to the United Statesit explores more of what Uranus in Gemini has corresponded to in the past in US history.
This episode was recorded on the night of July 6, 2025, a few hours before Uranus entered Gemini on July 7, and then released shortly after Gemini entered early rising.
My goal was to reflect on the history of astrologers studying and using this transit for predictions, and to celebrate what is clearly shaping up to be another major turning point in US history.
