In episode 320, astrologer Rick Levin joins Chris in studio to talk about the astrological meaning of the planet Uranus and what it means in your birth chart.
In general, Uranus represents sudden and unexpected events, revolutions, novelty, eccentricity, chaos, disruption, unpredictability, sudden breakthroughs, unusualness, rebellion, electricity, technological progress, rapid growth, and unusual pursuits.
Uranus was first discovered on March 13, 1781, and over the course of nearly a century, astrologers developed many of its meanings and incorporated it into astrology.
Since Uranus is the first outer planet in our series, we spend some time at the beginning of the episode discussing how astrologers have come to understand the meaning of the newly discovered planets.
One entry point was to understand some of the events that occurred at the same time as the discovery, such as the American Revolution, the French Revolution, the Industrial Revolution, and the culmination of the Enlightenment.
Our first attempt to record this episode was interrupted when the power went out a minute after recording. We released separately Recovering from blackouts on YouTubeand a short clip from it is included at the end of this section.
