Time twins in astrology: Adolf Hitler and Charlie Chaplin

In Episode 474, astrologers Chris Brennan and Nick Dagan Best discuss Charlie Chaplin and Adolf Hitler as twins born with Venus retrograde days apart, and subsequent Venus retrogrades coincided with important turning points in both their lives.

Hitler and Chaplin were born just 4 days apart in April 1889 and thus have very similar birth charts, including both having Venus retrograde in Taurus.

The issue of time twins or people born with similar charts is usually raised as a criticism against astrology, because two people born at the same time can have different destinies, but in this episode we show that two people born at the same time can have important turning points in their lives at the same time due to a common transit.

For example, during the retrograde of Venus in 1913, both men moved to where they would become famous, when Chaplin moved to Hollywood and Hitler moved to Germany. Although their destinies are different, their timelines often overlap in surprising ways.

This was originally part of a larger study on Venus retrogrades in Aries, and we’ve decided to go into their own episode to tell both of their full stories and show how important turning points in their lives happen during Venus retrograde.

Because our focus is primarily on Venus retrograde periods, we haven’t covered the issue of time twins as much as we could, and so this can address the issue of time twins from a practical, conceptual, and philosophical perspective rather than a beginner’s introduction for astrologers.
