Nikki’s Weekly Tarot Reading: April 6-12, 2025

Knight of the sun and discs

Our first messenger this week is the Sun. This is a Major Arcana card with powerful energy. The Major Arcana are the 22 cards in the tarot that follow the journey of the Fool.

This journey describes the cycle of ups and downs from birth to enlightenment and back to birth. If tarot cards are signs on life’s path, Major Arcana cards are flashing billboards.

They announce loudly and talk about an important moment in your life. It’s either a big realization, an important turning point, or an upswing. They represent profound changes in your path to becoming a higher self.

This lucky Major Arcana card depicts rays of light streaming into the universe. Within these rays are all the signs of the Zodiac, and the numbers dance in the heat. This card is about innocence, fun, and connecting with your inner child.

The sun gives us deep healing, especially when it comes to our emotions. We engage in meditation on the cycles of life, death and rebirth. The card shows us the gifts of being present and embracing hope.

We are called to breathe deeply, spend time in nature, and follow ourselves in the here and now. We embrace our emotions and immerse ourselves completely. The Sun card guides us to love our inner child and access a place of safety, protection and healing.

Do you have a favorite pastime that you wish you could experience again? Perhaps you have a dream that still resonates within you, that you can express and reconnect with, that rekindles the passion and passion that once brought you into your life?

This wonderful card asks us to remember what brought us joy when we were young. What made you happy as a child? What were your favorite activities? How can you bring those simple joys back into your life?

Our second card this week is the Knight of Discs. Disc Knights appear when we need to slow down and pay attention.

This knight stands out because it is the only one in the deck that does not have a knight in action. Knights usually run across land or fly through the air, but this Knight stopped resting.

And that is exactly what is required of us. We need to hit the brakes and take some time to ground ourselves. We should not make important decisions or act quickly.

A discus knight is grazing his horse in a beautiful field, facing the setting sun. Discs are connected to the natural world and are a great way to recharge in the loving embrace of the earth.

All the chaos in our world drains our energy. We need to take time to recharge and reconnect.

How can we pause in nature this week? Where can we spend our time to meditate? What should we meditate on at this time?

It is important for us to deliberately take time to rest before continuing our journey. If not, we may burn out and need an even bigger break later. And if we make pausing in gratitude a part of our daily lives, we can continue from a more centered place.

We are invited to connect with the grounding energy of the Disc suit. It encourages us to embrace rest and gratitude. By applying this practice, we will move forward with strength in the days and months ahead.

Weekly mantra: I connect with inner warmth and joy by slowing down and practicing gratitude.
