Suffragist leader Victoria Woodhull was another obvious spiritualist. In 1872, she became the first woman to be nominated for the presidency of the United States by the Equal Rights Party. Defender of free love, seer and abolitionist (Virgo/Libra peak), Woodhull was also the first female stockbroker on Wall Street when she opened a brokerage in 1870 with her sister, Tennessee Clafin (Scorpio).

Woodhull’s quote especially resonated with us because in March 2025, Ophi joined a group of female founders and financial leaders at the New York Stock Exchange in celebration of Women’s History Month. (Ofi knew, he was also a representative of previous spiritualists and mediums!)
The event, sponsored by Bank of America and the NYSE, featured a celebratory group of women walking around the trading floor and ascending to a podium to ring the day’s closing bell for the exchange.
