Uranus, the planet of awakening and transformation, moves into Gemini on July 7, 2025, opening a new seven-year cycle.
Uranus is known for its unpredictable energy and its ability to bring rapid and rapid changes to our lives.
Uranus shakes things up and shakes our foundations, prompting us to make changes and change the direction of our lives. Uranus can bring the unexpected, but this chaotic energy that Uranus conjures up, all that instability, ultimately inspires us to open our minds, expand our vision, and step into greater confidence.
Basically, Uranus helps us to let go of habits and patterns that prevent us from expressing our truth and knowing ourselves. Uranus wants us to break free from the status quo and embrace our independent spirit. Its energy encourages us to be true to ourselves, no matter how weird or crazy we think it is.
Uranus is also associated with our higher intelligence, technology and all things futuristic. Uranus wants us to move forward and doesn’t want us to look back. It wants us to focus on the future and get excited about the possibilities it may present.
Uranus is the higher octave of Mercury, so it helps expand our thought processes and encourages us to think outside the box.
This becomes even more evident when Uranus enters Gemini, as Gemini is naturally ruled by Mercury. In fact, we receive powerful waves of energy that change the way we communicate, express ourselves, and think. We can have intelligent brainwaves, radical new ideas, or drastic changes in our perspective.
When Uranus orbits Gemini in 2033, we will all look back and see how much our minds have evolved, changed, and grown.
Let’s dive deeper into this particular transit and what you can expect:

Uranus moves into Gemini on July 7th, where it will stay until November 7th, 2025, when it returns to Taurus. Uranus will then return to Gemini in May 2026, where it will remain until 2033.
This means that in 2025, we will have a preview of what this energy will bring. It will take until May 2026 for us to really start working with this new input energy.
Uranus works quickly and suddenly, so something important may happen in July 2025 or May 2026 to help transform us into this new energy.
Watch out for sudden changes, surprises, or plot twists you didn’t see coming. While some of us feel Uranus strongly, for others the influence may be more subtle.
On a subtle level, Uranus entering Gemini can trigger a new thought process that’s starting to take hold, a strange dream you can’t shake, or a desire to make a change (even if we don’t yet know what that will look like).
Uranus can also bring an innovative, out-of-the-box thinker into your life, or you may feel a call to break free or let go of something in your life. Gemini rules our hands, so we may also want to be creative or do something with our hands.
When the energy of Uranus is strong, separations or falling out can sometimes happen. Thus, careless accidents and unexpected gains or losses are possible.

Uranus brings awakenings
The last time Uranus was in Gemini was in 1941-1949. If you are alive during this period, you may want to consider how Uranus may be guiding you in your awakening.
If you were born during this period, you will now begin the return of Uranus. This is the time when the lessons of Uranus come fully into play and things crystallize for you about your life and whether you are living your true authenticity.
(If you’re currently 42, halfway through your Uranus return, you’ll have your Uranus opposition you can read about it to here.)
Uranus is the planet of awakening, so returning to this mindset is essential for our spiritual growth. Uranus shakes us up to awaken us and help us live from a place of greater truth, freedom and soul expression.
Whatever lessons Uranus teaches us, it will help us ascend to a new chapter in our evolution.
Awakening can be difficult and sometimes involves a period of deep uncertainty. We are no longer sure of anything. We may struggle to know what to believe, and the voices in our outside world may become unreliable.
If you find yourself in this place, know that this is a call to enter. Know that this is a call to strengthen yourself from within to truly align yourself. As the great philosophers say – Know thyself.
When dealing with strong Uranus energy, it is also recommended to go with the flow, let go of control and try not to plan. Uranus doesn’t want to match. He wants freedom and spontaneity. To some extent, we cannot control what Uranus will bring or where it will take us.
Allowing ourselves to let go of control, go with the flow, and listen to our inner voice are great ways to work with the journey of awakening that Uranus can set us on.
