How Top YouTube Brands Make Over $1 Million a Month (And How You Can Too)

YouTube is no longer just a viral entertainment platform; it is an absolute money printing machine for business owners who know how to play the game. After earning over $35 million on YouTube for myself and my clients, I’ve re-engineered the exact strategies the biggest names in the information and coaching industry use to earn over $1 million. every month.

Whether you run a B2B consulting firm, a high-ticket coaching program, or a direct-to-consumer digital product, the playbook is hiding in plain sight. Let’s dive into the strategies of Iman Gadji, Alex Hormozy, Jeremy Haynes, and more, and break down the exact frameworks you can apply to your channel today.

1. Live Income Event Funnel (Iman Gadji)

Iman Gadji earns between 5 and 8 million dollars per month, and he does it despite his recent existence decline in his total YouTube views. How much? By ditching the traditional Evergreen VSL (Video Sales Letter) and switching to Live earnings events.

Here’s how his event funnel works:

  • Schedule: Iman hosts 3 to 4 live, multi-day events each year. It does not sell its flagship offerings year-round; he only sells them during these special windows, creating a huge shortage and growing demand.

  • Promo (4 weeks): He starts raising the story by dropping high profile trailer videos on his main channel. He schedules YouTube Live weeks in advance, so the algorithm constantly reminds his subscribers that it’s coming.

  • Education: When users sign up, they are included in WhatsApp groups for daily value, buzz and reminders. He even sells “VIP tickets” to these events for less than $100, completely eliminating his advertising costs.

  • Structure of the event:
    • Day 1: A high-level overview of the concept (eg, how to make money with digital products). No pitching.
    • Day 2: Go deep into step 1. Offer #1.
    • Day 3: Dive deep into step 2. Proposal #2.
    • 4 and 5 days: Case studies, guest speakers and confidence building.
    • Day 6: Final appearance and large closing area.

Take away: If you have an engaged audience, don’t try to sell them a $2,000 product in a 10-minute video. Create an event, create an experience and accumulate scarcity.

2. “Long Form Cut” Strategy (Alex Hormozy)

Alex Hormozy is known for his best business content. But of late, his views on the main channel have started to flatten due to “facial fatigue”. His solution was brilliant: “More Mozi” channel.

Before that, the industry standard was to cut long videos into 60-second TikToks and YouTube Shorts. Hormozy realized that his high-ticket customers (progressive business owners) weren’t turning Shorts around; they watched long-form YouTube.

  • Strategy: He takes his live streams and podcasts, breaks them down into very clear, 3-5 minute problem-solving videos and uploads them to a secondary channel. 20 times a day.
  • SEO Play: Because videos are titled with specific problems (eg, “How to Fix Customer Retention in Your Plumbing Business”), YouTube’s algorithm serves them directly to business owners looking for those specific solutions.

Take away: Don’t just clip for Shorts. Turn your best tips into 5-minute, highly searchable long-form videos to dominate specific niches without cluttering your main channel.

3. “Anti-Sell” VSL Strategy (Taki Moore)

Taki Moore earns $1.6 million a month selling coaching programs to other coaches, and his strategy is the exact opposite of aggressive “rush” salespeople. He runs Anti-sell strategy.

  • Vibe: Taki shoots all of his videos outdoors. He uses minimalistic text, draws diagrams to explain concepts, and presents himself as a relaxed, anti-rush guru.

  • Create space: Taki rarely uses a call to action (CTA). Instead, it explains the concept by showing the customer where they are waswhere are they nowand makes it clear that the bridge between the two was to pay him. It creates a huge psychological “vacuum” in the viewer’s mind.

  • Single CTA: His only call to action is to send him a DM on Instagram. After entering the DM, his setters will sort out the lead and lead them to the finish.

Take away: You don’t have to yell at your audience to buy the course. Train them so effectively that they understand that they cannot cross the gap without your help.

4. Challenge Video Format (Codie Sanchez)

Cody Sanchez teaches people how to buy “boring businesses” (like laundry and car washes) and earns more than $3 million a month. His secret weapon for explosive growth? Challenge videos.

If Kodi created a video named “How much money does a vending machine make” Can see 50,000 times. Instead, it puts the title, “I bought three machines and I was surprised by the profit” and documents the entire physical process of purchasing machines, stocking them, and counting cash. There is that video 2.1 million views.

Take away: Just don’t do it say what your audience needs to do; show they are Challenge videos prove your expertise in real-time and provide a high level of entertainment that the YouTube algorithm wants to attract millions of people.

5. Using YouTube to Acquire Talent (Daniel Isles and Ryan Pineda)

Daniel Isles runs an agency that helps businesses go viral. He earns more than $3 million a month, mostly through paid advertising. So if it’s not a major sales driver, why does it run a big YouTube channel? Acquisition of talent.

When your business goes past the 7-digit mark, your biggest challenge stops being a leader and starts being. A-player talent. Daniel uses his YouTube channel to post premium sales and operational content. Top sales reps and operators watch his videos, realize he’s running a big operation, and apply to work for him.

Take away: A large YouTube channel acts as a magnetic moat. It attracts top-notch partnerships, elite staff, and industry respect that you just can’t buy with Facebook ads.

Here’s how to make it work for your business

If you want to start growing your YouTube channel to $1 million per month, you need to organize your content into three distinct pillars:

  1. Top of Funnel (broad/entertaining): Content is only designed to get clicks and bring new eyes to the ecosystem (eg News, Mindsets or Test Videos).

  2. Mid Funnel (Troubleshooting): Highly specific, actionable content that directly addresses a pain point for your ideal customer. It proves your competence.

  3. Bottom of Funnel (Trust & Case Studies): In-depth videos, customer interviews and raw vlogs that build deep parasocial relationships and break down any buying objections.

Stop relying solely on rented ad space. Build an organic YouTube asset and watch your acquisition costs drop while your revenue grows exponentially.
