The answer is that spirits cannot be literally given age, however figuratively speaking We all have different levels of spiritual maturity.
Spiritual maturity is our ability to connect with the essence of who we are beyond our socially conditioned identities.
While some of us have a very strong connection to the reality of ‘us’, others are still working on connecting with our core nature.
This difference in our ability to connect with our deeper self is the baby spirit, baby spirit, young spirit, mature spirit, and An old soul originated from; they all represent different levels and points of our soul’s journey to wholeness – none is “better” or “higher” than the other. Instead, they represent different layers and stages of awakening.
