In this episode, I explore the astrology behind the devastating Hantavirus outbreak currently dominating global news headlines, focusing specifically on how it began around the recent Mars-Saturn conjunction, and show why ancient astrologers associated this conjunction with plagues and plagues.
It’s an alignment we’ve been nervous about and actually predicted in our upcoming 2026 forecast, in part because it reminded me of the Mars-Saturn conjunction that took place in March and April 2020. During this time, the world experienced the lockdown of the COVID-19 pandemic as Mars and Saturn conjoined in Capricorn. I’ll look at clips from our previous forecasts to show how we’ve come to expect this, and I’ll explain exactly why these particular malign combinations have historically represented very difficult times.
To illustrate how these alignments work in practice, I’ll look at a detailed timeline of the Hantavirus outbreak last month on a cruise ship and show how perfectly the crisis fell on a precise Mars-Saturn-Neptune conjunction. I will look at several other historical examples from the past decade to illustrate this recurring pattern. We’ll look at previous Mars-Saturn conjunctions that coincided with key turning points for the 2014 Ebola outbreak, the 2022 monkeypox outbreak, and the 1982 AIDS pandemic to name a few.
Part of my goal here was not just to highlight a successful prediction and show how accurate the outbreak was, but to show why I made the prediction based on similar fits I’ve seen in the past.
A couple of interesting additional things I found in this episode is that Hantavirus was first recognized during a major outbreak in the Korean War in the early 1950’s, which coincided with the Saturn-Neptune conjunction. Hantavirus was later officially named and classified under two Mars-Saturn conjunctions in 1980 and 1982. both of them With the alignment of these planets, the conjunction of Mars-Saturn-Neptune that began in April, a new large epidemic of the virus is happening in the world.
Finally, I will touch on the basic philosophy of secular astrology: the idea that the planets do not necessarily cause events to happen, but rather act as a time mechanism that reflects what is happening on Earth. Since repetition is the key to predictions in astrology, studying the alignments around current and past epidemics can provide us with a basis for predicting the future, and hopefully will provide a useful basis for further research.
