After a long pandemic and getting used to distance learning, some kids may be a little hesitant to leave the house and go back to the classroom, especially if they are small. Here are some insights into each child’s sign, the parts of school they can expect to do the most, and things you might want to emphasize.
ARIES (March 21 – April 19)
Independent and confident, they are “I can do it” kids. They are curious about everything and need to explore the world freely but safely. They play sports and need to regularly express their abundant energy and strength, so school athletics appeals to the Aries child. An Aries child who is too closed in can be embarrassed. As they grow up, they like to lead other children and may be elected class president as early as 4th grade. Talking to the class during a presentation doesn’t put off the Aries – they love the opportunity to do it. Aries also love stickers – little stars to put on a calendar or to decorate their notebooks are a big hit.
TAURUS (April 20 – May 20)
Taurus children have very keen senses and like to focus on different things that are new to them. They like to know what’s going to happen in advance (for example, the schedule of school events) because they like to prepare rather than be surprised. They love the process of shopping for new clothes and new shoes – they are very sensitive – and it’s fun to decide what to wear on the first day. Taurus kids don’t like to be rushed, so choose their clothes together at night and put them to bed in the morning to speed things up.
GEMINI (May 21 – June 20)
Your Gemini child is always curious, versatile and flexible. They are very suitable for new conditions. When they are little, they love story time – for them, reading is one of the joys of life, and many adult Gemini still feel this way. Once they learn to read, it will be hard to pry their favorite books out of their little hands. They also like to write, so an older child might like to keep a diary or diary of their experiences and feelings. If the school goes on trips, this will excite Gemini the most, even if the trip is in their hometown. Gemini youth need a lot of variety, and the school offers it to them.
CANCER (June 21 – July 22)
Cancer child is very sensitive and very close to his mother. If your child is small, reassure your child that you will be there to pick them up. If this is not possible, see if a favorite relative, such as a grandparent, can pick up the child. Children with cancer of all ages need a nurturing environment, and games and sleepovers with other children can help little cancer patients feel focused. They look forward to seeing their friends at school. Cancer rules food, so decide what to put in the lunch box together with your child. (Older Cancer children like to choose food at the cafeteria.) Although Cancers are mostly associated with their mothers, they love the whole family, so include a photo of mom, siblings, and dad in the child’s backpack or lunch box. If the child has a brother in the same school, this tender will be an advantage for Cancer.
LEO (July 23 – August 22)
A Leo child enjoys the creative aspects of school – painting, drawing, listening to music or playing in the school orchestra. As the child grows, they can expect music lessons on their preferred instrument. The more creative materials the school offers, the better, as a Leo child will want to experiment with and use different materials to create their art. Be sure to put their creations on the refrigerator or in other prominent places in the house. They also love being in the school play and want one of the biggest lead roles.
VIRGO (August 23 – September 22)
Virgin children are adapted to school. They love being out of the house where they can go to class to learn and ask questions. They love the process of getting ready by shopping for new equipment, new clothes, and new shoes, and they look forward to the tentative structure of school. If there is a school pet in the classroom, the Virgo child will look forward to interacting with that little creature. Virgo is ruled by Mercury, so once they learn to read, they continue to read – they love books – and they even like to do homework. (They’re probably the only sign.) They’re adjusting well to going back to school. Virgo children are quiet, so they tend to make few friends, but among their friends they keep them close. Having a close friend to do homework with will make the process more fun.
LIBRA (September 23 – October 22)
Libras are the most eager children of any zodiac sign. Friends’ balance in scheduling play dates, sleepovers, and homework is essential to keeping kids engaged and motivated to return to school. Libras are also culturally sensitive, so if possible, bring your child the “cool” sneakers that other kids wear, or the hottest jacket, jeans, or backpack, Libras can help guide your child as well. In general, they like to decide what to wear each day, but it can take them valuable morning time to decide (and change their mind) – it’s better to leave this decision until the night before.
SCORPIO (October 23 – November 21)
Scorpio kids are usually loners, preferring to have one or two very close friends they can trust and hang out with instead of a bunch of kids to play with. They love familiar surroundings, so showing your child around the school they’re supposed to attend, and even going inside for a little tour if possible, is a great way to acclimate a Scorpio child. They like a routine, so once school starts, they like the predictability of the schedule and feel like they have their own little one or closet. Scorpio children are fierce and very goal-oriented, so as a parent, no matter what age your child is, they want to succeed. The fact that you (not a tutor or an outside guard) help them with homework or prepare for a test will comfort the Scorpio child. Sometimes they get too obsessed with getting A’s in all their work – show them that you love them when their teacher gives them a lower grade when they’re little. Emphasize that the most important thing is to know and act on how they will use what they are currently learning.
THE WILD (November 22 – December 21)
Sagittarius children love to “show and tell.” They are hospitable, so showing the class where they went on summer vacation or describing almost anything to the group doesn’t put them off – they look forward to it. They are strong children and need athletics to express their abundant energy. Joining the school’s sports team will make a child of this sign happy. A Sagittarian child is very curious, so it is important for them to answer many questions. The thought of an overnight class trip excites them – find out before school starts if this class is on the agenda.
CAPRICORN (December 22 – January 19)
A Capricorn child wants to do well in school and get a star on his homework paper or praise his test results from the teacher. Affirming that he is doing well is essential to your little Capricorn’s success – you can help in this process by congratulating him on his good grades and occasionally helping him with subjects he may struggle with. For a Capricorn child, it is very important to please you. Your child probably looks forward to historical topics such as going to the museum to see dinosaur bones or replicas of these historic creatures to learn more about dinosaurs and understand their scale. Fossils, old coins and other things from the past also fascinate him
AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 18)
Aquarius loves to use all new electronic devices, even as a small child. He likes the idea of learning on new computers and tablets and will probably have a computer to do homework on. Headphones, earphones – you name it – he loves electronics. An Aquarius child also enjoys science classes and learning about planets, deep space, and trips to the planetarium. As he gets older, the Aquarius child will enjoy biology, physics, and other areas of science. This is an intelligent child who needs a lot of stimulation – school is perfect for him. Aquarians will enjoy the special equipment in the scientific laboratory, and of course the use of the telescope will be of great interest.
PISCES (February 19 – March 20)
Pisces children are humble and private. They don’t brag about their achievements, and they prefer to have one or two very close friends – not many. A Pisces child enjoys working alone on artistic, creative projects that are part of the school curriculum because it allows them to think and dream effectively. The social aspects of school are not the most important element for them – they are happy to think things through by themselves or with one close friend. If there is a school play, they want to be given an important role. Dressing up in a costume will excite them no matter what their age. Pisces don’t just play roles, they become roles, which is why they make such convincing actors when they grow up. Pisces have a vivid imagination and their expressions can be unique and charming – they think for themselves and have a high emotional intelligence even at an early age. When they are young, they sometimes lack self-confidence, so be sure to celebrate their victories at home. Like Cancer children, the mother also plays a very important role in the life of Pisces.
