Ditch the guru, trust your own wisdom ⋆ LonerWolf

It’s 1:01 PM as I write this, and I’m honestly kind of tired and cranky.

You see, part of my job is to read, learn, and pay attention to what people in the healing space are doing. On days like today, I just want to close the laptop, live in the wilderness, surrounded by animals and nature without internet and that’s it.

But I’m a grown man with responsibility and loving people (and average survival skills), so I don’t.

What really pisses me off is the sheer amount of content out there that is actively trying deprive us of our own power. He gives us poison and sells us a cure at the same time. It tells us that we are lacking or that we are not good enough or that we could have more, under the guise of powers.

Also, an increasing amount of it is artificial intelligence – which doesn’t even get me started on the existential threat. this is considered

Things like: “How to get rich”, “The most effective way to raise your vibration”, “Monetizing your aura”, “Habits that can restore your body in 120 days” how

Then there are those selling $3,000 coaching packages or promising to “end your suffering” with their magic questions.

Don’t get me wrong. There is so much beauty in helping people. People have to make a living (including me). internal workspace) and I don’t mind.

But I have a problem guru-culture. in the endless hamster wheel of be more Those who encourage us to surrender our wisdom to an external person or thing.

Abandon the Guru, trust in your own wisdom

I recently read this golden quote from someone (unfortunately, I can’t remember who) somewhere on the Internet:

“A true teacher works for his own wear and tear.”

I think this is true. Yet a lot of popular culture and spirituality preaches the opposite.

If someone is playing the role of a teacher, leader or guru, they should encourage you to tap into this energy inside yourself – not encouraging dependency to them for their mighty wisdom or understanding. (And this happens openly and secretly, a lot. You can thank the human ego for that.)

That’s what I love about this concept “Self-education” very much It is a form of self-management (aka, being self-taught) which encourages you to renounce the guru and trust in your own wisdom. It’s a very lone wolf path that has been followed in one form or another by lone sages, philosophers, and mystics over the centuries.

Coaching the Self: The Soul’s Path to Self-Sovereignty

the image of a man holding a lantern under the stars symbolizes the journey of self-education

How can we let go of the guru—whether it’s a self-help guru, a popular YouTuber, an awakened author, or a traditional spiritual teacher—and start believing. our own innate wisdom?

Because that’s the truth we all let there be a source of understanding and divine light within. Yes, it is often buried under false beliefs, nervous breakdowns, and old traumas. But There.

Personally, on a human level, I choose this less strenuous and maddening route.

The Soul’s Path to Self-Sovereignty Based on Personal Experience:

Self-Education Tip #1 – Read books…yes, real books

Reading requires retraining the brain to focus. If you’re used to short bursts of dopamine-inducing information (eg, social media, ads, TV), this can be difficult. But everything depends on himself habit. So add it to your daily routine. (If you’re spiritually inclined, you can also incorporate it into your practice – it’s said divine lesson, or devotional reading.)

Start with 10 minutes, then after a week 20 minutes, the next week 30 minutes and finally 1 hour. Do what you have space for and be realistic.

What I love about books is that they are spontaneous. There are no algorithms that feed off your energy and attention like demonic leeches. No poorly written or researched nonsense (usually). Instead, you have a beautiful piece of art in your hands that someone spent hours, weeks, and sometimes years creating.

I have attended many courses over the years. I subscribed to many monthly subscriptions. But none of them came close to offering me the wealth that would come from it humble book. This is considered the power of bibliotherapy. Yes, you pay in time. But the rewards are greater self-awareness, empowerment, and integration.

Self-Education Tip #2 – Learn to Listen to Your Intuitive, Instinctive Wisdom

Many of the answers we seek can be found within the work of the gurus our own bodies, hearts and souls. Actually, I say the most if not all, it is a reflection of the wisdom we have heard from others our own inherent wisdom. After all, at the deepest level, we are all Spirit.

Learn to listen to your intuition to reclaim your power. Here are a few ways to do this that I like:

  1. Incarnation and Grounding. In other words, learn to calm your nervous system and get rid of chronic fight, flight, freeze or blackout. This somatic practice helps you gain a clearer understanding of the wisdom in your body. I wrote a big, meaty guide nervous systemit will help you learn how to do it. Remember: your body is an oracle.
  2. Meditate to clear mental clutter. I like to meditate by looking at candles (Trataka) for this. Here’s my guide to some other meditation techniques it helps you create more mental space.
  3. Use some symbolic tool. Symbols are meant for interpretation, it helps to develop your intuition. I really like to use tarot and oracle cards Helping me overcome self-confessed depression. Symbols are often archetypal in nature, and with practice you can learn to hear and trust your intuition more.

Self-Education Tip #3 – The Art of Journaling or Self-Talk

My romance with a magazine goes back to my childhood. It’s a practice that got me through some of the darkest times in my life and still sustains me.

I have created many guided journals encourages self-discipline and trust in your own wisdom over the years. Some of these titles include:

Regardless of whether you choose a guided or non-guided magazine, the power is always contained your hands. No one tells you how to feel, think or be. No one forces you to work their pace instead, you decide how far you will go. Journaling empowers you grow in self-awareness and wisdom by illuminating the darkness of your psyche and entering the truth of your soul.

“To give authority is to accept personal authority.” – Peter A. Levine

Self-study is one of the only practices that keeps me from going crazy and slamming my laptop into things (just kidding here…or am I?).

Taking power back into your own hands in a system that preys on your insecurities and gives you poison while selling you medicine reminds you of this eternal truth:

You are not broken.

You don’t have to do anything to be valuable.

You don’t have to be unique to be relevant.

You are naturally worthy.

You are whole at your core.

The power has always been in your hands.

Don’t forget that. 😉

What is your favorite form of self-education? I would love to hear.
