Lessons from magical Australia

A few years ago I had an experience in the Australian outback.
While walking, I found a beautiful stone placed on the ground. After picking it up and being a little surprised, I put it down again and continued walking.
The Aboriginal man with me laughed and shook his head in disbelief and said, “That’s strange! Usually a white man always own everything he sees and touches.”
I thought about his words and realized that a thing (in this case a rock) only retains its beauty and value in its environment.
Away from the outdoors, the sand dunes and the sun, the stone becomes just a “thing” to be collected and left to collect dust on the bookshelf.
Just like a rock, we have places and spaces that resonate the most and “fit” us.
And when we are placed in foreign circumstances that do not match our energy or essence, we inevitably feel out of place.

What is a spiritual place?

The concept of having a special “Soul Place” in this world is not new.
We see this fascinating concept from ancient shamanic cultures that believed in authority to modern psychologists like Bill Plotkin.
Essentially, the Spiritual Place (or power point) is a special site or place where we have a unique experience sense of belonging, empowermentexpansion and energetic rejuvenation.
We all have at least one A spiritual place in this world.
As I mentioned earlier, many eco-centered cultures knew about Soul Places. Australian Aborigines, for example, believe that each person has a unique place in the natural world – a place that we are a part of.
In finding that place, we also find and reconnect with it soul within us.
What we can learn from local cultures

Be quiet. Trees in front and bushes next to you
not lost. Wherever you are, it is said here,
and you must treat him like a powerful stranger,
must ask permission to know and be known.
The forest breathes. Listen. This answers,
I made this place around you.
If you leave it, you can come back here.
For Raven, no two trees are alike.
No two branches of Wren are the same.
If the work of a tree or bush is lost from you,
you are definitely wrong. Be quiet. The forest knows
where are you You have to let it find you.– David Wagoner (Lost, Travel light)
Local cultures and shamans For thousands of years, people have known that there are special places in nature that have a sacred personal connection with us.
Unlike our modern ecologically disconnected cultures, their awareness of the Spirit World allowed them to create rituals to initiate special rituals. spiritual maturity through nature-based practices.
Here, for example, in Australia, the aborigines have a cultural tradition called “”.Walking“.
Trekking occurs when an Aboriginal youth wanders the bush alone for weeks, sometimes months. When young are wandering, they avoid human contact in search of a place where they feel at home.
Another example can be found among the indigenous people of the Sahara Tuareg.
Pregnant Saharan women occasionally wander into nearby deserts with the intention of finding or finding a sacred site.
This sacred place would later be the place where they would give birth to their children.
Although this rite of passage may seem horrifying to the Western mind, these women do not say so feeling alone or afraid because they feel a great depth of relationship and bone-deep kinship with the land.
Examples of collective soul spaces

Although Soul Place may sound private, it is not. Soul Places can also be shared by collective groups of people.
Examples of Collective Soul Places include Bear Butte in Wyoming and Uluru in Australia.
There are also man-made places of power, such as the Great Pyramids of Egypt, the megalithic temple of Stonehenge and the fascinating underground passageways of Chavin de Huantar.
Spiritual places can also be formed through religious and spiritual beliefs. The Great Mosque of Mecca, St. Peter’s Cathedral, the Golden Temple, and the Shrine of Bahá’u’lláh are glorious examples.
How to find your spiritual place

Most shamans have special places in nature that have personal significance for them. These places may be the places where they enter the Spirit World or the places where they first experience their calling spiritual leaders.
However, as exotic and mysterious as Soul Place may seem, it doesn’t have to be.
Soul Places can be simple, humble, local, and even unknown (or ignored) to others.
Your power/soul place might be a local park, a hidden river, or a bookstore on a back street, for example.
Your soulful place may be near the ocean or forest, or a childhood home filled with memories.
Your Soul Place could even be a restaurant your partner suggested or a church you stumbled upon one rainy day.
Our power centers can be located almost anywhere!
So how do you find your power?
The most important thing to consider is the location that allows the experience deep feelings.
Pay attention to wherever you feel yourself sincere or divine to you; a place that allows you to experience timeless moments of beauty and hyper-awareness.
These sacred places facilitate your ability to go within and touch something deeper. You may experience moments of wonder, gratitude, joy, and connection with life.
No matter what, your Soul Joy will be your soul’s whimsical friend.
