Existential therapy is more than a philosophy—and it works



It can come like a crash, or it can come in the silence at 3 o’clock—a time when the usual responses to your life are no longer working. You appeared and achieved everything, but something still remains, restless and unanswered: VIs there a meaning to this life? Who I am? What is important to me?

At the heart of existential therapy lies a deceptively simple and profound concept. Human suffering is often not caused by a chemical imbalance or disorder to know but from psychological narrowing, a habitual refusal to face the full, paradoxical, often uncomfortable sum of our human experience.
