In Part 2 of our series on the 5th house in astrology, we look at examples of famous people who have a fifth house ascendant in their birth chart, with astrologers Chris Brennan and Leysa Schaim of The Astrology Podcast.
The fifth house is traditionally associated with a wide range of astrology, including children, creativity, pleasure, romance, sex and sexuality, games and luck. In ancient astrology, the Ascendant was sometimes called the rudder of the native’s ship of life, and the ruler of the ascendant was said to be the captain. The house the ruler of the chart is in can tell you a lot about where life is headed, and in this episode we explore what happens when life is focused on fifth house themes.
During the episode, we look at over 50 example charts of famous people with ascendant lords in the fifth house to show how this placement can play out in different ways. Some of the charts we look at include actors, directors, musicians, comedians, athletes, writers, artists, and more. Through this inquiry we can see the many different manifestations of the fifth house archetype and develop a deeper and more grounded understanding of its meaning.
This is the second of a three-part series on the fifth house, part of our larger series where I do a deep dive into the twelve houses in astrology. In the next part of this series, we will explore the meaning of the ruler of the fifth house in each of the twelve houses, showing how the themes of the fifth house can be exported to other areas of one’s life.
