I spoke to a customer today; it’s a pair of twins, so it’s always interesting. He wanted to brainstorm or deal with manipulative people. He deals with many of them in his profession.
He observed that manipulation is a common technique for the entire generation. I know it’s provocative, but I said it was fun, right? I am adding you to our conversation. I haven’t had a chance to think about it, but he’s very smart and he might be right about that. If it is, then the number of people working in this way is very high. It’s worth looking into.
Here are some questions:
- How often do you deal with a manipulative person? Is it common, more or less?
- Have you found effective ways to deal with such a person?
- Are you manipulative? Is it because it’s fun? Is it effective? Is that how you were taught?
Do we have experts? What do you know about manipulative people? How to avoid or disable them?
Or do you go into the game and replay it? What do you expect to see in the Manipulator and Controlled chart?
