Queen of Wands and Nine of Swords
This week we feel the strong energy of the astrological new year and the beginning of Aries season. We are entering a time of excitement, enthusiasm, and readiness to act. Our cards are here to support us and guide our path.
Our first card this week is the Queen of Wands. It represents the fire inside all of us, the energy that makes us loving, loyal friends and worthy enemies.
Queen brilliantly highlights the passion that ignites within us when faced with injustices, celebrating the growing resilience in each of us to overcome adversity.
He has incredible toughness and a strong sense of confidence. Always ready to speak her mind and stand by her beliefs, she has become a strong and opinionated person because of her past. However, he lacks diplomatic skills and his intensity can sometimes turn people away.
This week we need to focus on our communication because it can be more difficult. We must apply the lessons of the Queen of Wands to practice compassionate expression.
Some questions we can ask are: How can we be strong and warm at the same time? How can we share our passion without alienating others? How can we be compassionate and hold those we disagree with accountable?
May the fire move you to create change through understanding and grace. The kindness in your communication and actions will make them more impressive.
Our next card encourages us to find clarity in our thinking and be kind to ourselves. It wants us to be aware of any cruel or confusing thoughts that are currently holding us back.
Do you wake up in the morning feeling grateful? Do you look in the mirror and see your strengths? Do you appreciate your talents and have compassion for your shortcomings?
Or wake up and see what’s going on? Do you look in the mirror and see something you don’t like? Do you generally have a negative outlook?
The Nine of Swords wants us to listen to how we talk to ourselves, our harsh criticisms, and negative vices. We observe them, observe them and record their tone.
This is overly critical thinking, the shadow side or suit of Swords. Often, out of fear, it protects us, but instead hurts us. We can talk to this energy and say, “I know you’re trying to keep me safe, but I no longer need your help.”
The Nine of Swords illuminates the harshness of our words and their impact. Cruel thinking is false thinking; it brings dark clouds where it should not be. This week we will become aware of this energy and move into the light.
Mantra for the week: I feel my strength and compassion I will find the next steps forward.
