The Prince of Cups and the Seven of Swords

This week begins with a full moon in Capricorn, making it an ideal time to let go. This week’s cards highlight outdated thought patterns that no longer serve us. It’s time to let go of habits that hinder progress and step confidently into a brighter future.

Our first card, the Prince of Cups, is about knowing our inner voice. He wants us to notice how we talk to ourselves and the messages we send.

We may have big goals, but we don’t think we’re worthy of it, or we don’t believe everything will work out. We want our lives to evolve and change, but our inner monologue tells us otherwise.

The Prince of Cups asks us to see if we can align our thoughts with our desires. It asks us to have self-fulfilling beliefs about ourselves, to think we are good enough, and to imagine our success.

The card supports being aware of the stories we tell ourselves. These stories send a powerful message. If we want our stories to change, we must first hear them.

When we become observers of our thoughts, we can ride the waves instead of letting them crash over us and bring us down. Prince shows us that accepting our feelings makes us adept surfers in the emotional seas.

Grief and sadness have their place with acceptance and compassion. We can feel our emotions without pushing them away or shaking us. And when they feel heard, we become lighter and more open.

Our thoughts are very powerful and can make a lot of difference. By tapping into our subconscious and listening to ourselves, magical things begin to happen.

Our second card this week is the Seven of Swords. This card speaks of stuck energy that needs to be released. This suggests that we may have been avoiding or hiding from something that requires our attention, and now is the time to confront what is bothering us.

It may be a secret dream that we should talk about in reality. It can be a bad habit, we need to feel more like ourselves. Or it could be a lie we’re telling ourselves that doesn’t work anymore.

We are called to ask these questions and understand what is useless to us. We examine our hearts and minds, pull out our journals, and write with deep honesty.

The Seven of Swords makes us question our belief systems and examine our thoughts. We notice our patterns and wonder if there is a better way.

We observe the contents of our mind. We look at our habits as objectively as possible and support our growth without judgment. Shame and guilt keep us from where we want to be, so we manage our guilt with compassion.

Deliberately set aside time this week for serious reflection and journaling. With love, see if you can come closer to yourself and release what no longer serves you.

Mantra for the week: When I change the way I talk to myself, everything changes for the better.
