If you have Venus or Mars in Pisces or otherwise have a Neptune flavor, you are very sensitive and influenced by music and movies. This post continues with: Shack Man Revisited: Life in Stereo.
This was inspired by Tracy’s comment: It’s interesting that you realize he’s playing out his own musical fantasy – too bad he didn’t pick a better ‘record’.
Years ago I was listening to Zucchero with my daughter. She was about eleven years old, but elegant.
“Listen to him,” I said. “That’s a man who likes a woman. Pay attention to that. Never hook up with a man who doesn’t like women, because hey! You’re the one!” He laughed, but he heard me.
Generally, the music I choose to listen to is relationship positive. I hear another one, but I won’t let it in. Of course I won’t bring it home with me.
It’s harder to avoid these days, but it’s worth the effort. Messages enter your mind and you easily manifest what you hear over and over again.
Tracy’s comment makes it clear that if you’re in a relationship with someone, you need to pay attention to what’s going on in their head. If I were judging an album on the Shack Man case, I’d know the storyline wasn’t for me. This was not because it was negative towards women, but because the persona was invented to be “commercial”. I’m looking for authenticity.
If I were a man and a woman listening to “she did me wrong” or “I cut her car off” music, I’d be running for the hills. If you want to be happy in a partnership, find someone who wants what you want. Also, someone who sets himself up for success.
It’s hard to have a relationship that doesn’t just end in pain, if you’ve never heard of such a thing!
Do you know the influence of music on your life?
