Full moon: Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 6:37 AM ET
The sun Pisces at 12° | Moon Virgo at 12°
Today, we are still riding the strong astrological tides of the season. On February 20th, when Saturn and Neptune make their exact conjunction and several inner planets prepare to move around 0° Aries, all eyes can be on themselves at the same moment.
We’re also in Mercury retrograde until March 20th, so topics that demand our attention may require deeper than usual reflection.
Recently I was with a friend who knew nothing about astrology. He had never seen a chart before. When I showed him the chart so far, he offered a playful interpretation:
“It seems very powerful. The energy seems very concentrated – like it’s forcing you to look at things. Very focused.”
For someone with no background in astrology, I thought it was pretty good.

Focusing on others can take action
A strong emphasis is placed on the Pisces-Virgo axis. With four inner planets in Pisces, including the North Node, the Moon, and the South Node in Virginia, this polarity can offer useful tools for managing the disruption that eclipses can bring.
Eclipses often act as course correctors. They can intervene in ways that subtly or drastically change your direction. For some, this is a minor adjustment. Full redirect for others.
At times like these, it’s easy to get caught up in our own stories. When stress builds, self-preservation takes over. When we are managing our own needs, it can be difficult to consider others.
However, Pisces and Virgo can invite us to broaden our perspective.
Both characters are service oriented. Virgo is known for offering practical, constructive support; Pisces often respond with compassion, empathy, and spiritual sensitivity.
When your own life is full of taking up all of your bandwidth, it can feel wrong to focus on someone else. Still, you offer help where you can be medicine.
Sometimes the way out of a jam is meaningful communication and service.

Supportive dynamics in the chart
Despite the intensity of the eclipse energy, there are supportive aspects.
Jupiter in Cancer forms a trine to the Sun and a sextile to the Moon. Although Jupiter is associated with growth and blessings, it is also a symbol of generosity. In this Pisces-Virgo accent, Jupiter reinforces the idea that caring for others can be the most constructive use of your energy.
This does not mean neglecting your own needs. Rather, healing can be mutual and through shared humanity.
When life requires us to “look at things,” service and generosity can become a stabilizing force.
A legendary moment for today
When we think of Jupiter and Mercury, Zeus and Hermes are awakened.
Hermes, associated with Virgo, was given the unique privilege of being associated with Pisces by Zeus. Of the many children of Zeus, Hermes was an exception. To please Zeus, he was given the role of psychopomp – guide of spirits – and allowed to travel freely between the worlds.
This myth reflects Jupiter’s generosity, but also offers opportunities to “be the exception to the rule” or receive benefits that others may not have.

Exercises for today’s full moon
To consciously engage with today’s energy, consider the following practices:
1. Look out
As you move through the day, notice when you find yourself caught up in your thoughts and feelings—especially if they’re tiring or repetitive. When you recognize this pattern, gently redirect your attention to someone else.
2. Acts of practical service
Do something useful for another person, even if it’s small. Offer a gesture that will lighten someone else’s burden without asking. See if you can do this calmly and generously without expecting recognition or anything in return.
3. Consider the welfare of another
If your day doesn’t involve much interaction, involve someone in your meditation practice. Imagine them happy, healthy and thriving. Have an honest idea of their well-being and fulfillment.
These exercises may sound subtle, but they are incredibly powerful.
They also feel different for each person. For some, these practices may seem natural and easy. For others, they may feel uncomfortable or even difficult. But this energy will manifest for you today, turn to it as a teacher.
And remember: what you offer to others now can come back to you.
