The Libra Full Moon April 1st arrives and brings us into one of the most energetic months of the year. April brings zero planets in retrograde and strong fire energy, making it one of the most important months for setting intentions, planting seeds, and taking action.

The full moon that comes at the beginning of such a month is like a sign from the universe to focus on what we need to release so we can move forward. What is stopping us? What is it that keeps us small and lacking?

Using the releasing and balancing energy of the full moon helps us make the most of the fire energy on offer.

If you really want to activate the energy of the full moon in your life, here is a ritual to guide you. While there are many opportunities to manifest during the month, this ritual focuses on cleansing, releasing, and balancing the body. That way, we can be in a better position to receive and work with all the powerful, fiery energy on offer.

I also decided to include a prayer for world peace in this ritual, using the energy that the Libra Full Moon offers.

The Libra Full Moon Ritual is for balance, liberation and world peace

You will need:

  • Selected Aura Cleanser
  • Pen and paper
  • A cup of water
  • Meditation cushion/mat

Instructions:

1.) Begin by cleansing your auric field using a cleansing agent of your choice. As you clear your aura, say the following affirmation:

“My aura is cleansed; my light shines. Let nothing heavy leave the void of my heart tonight. My heart is light. My heart is pure. My heart is in harmony with my true self. My physical body is healthy, my emotional body is joyful, my spiritual body is shining with peace. Thank you.”

2.) Get nice and comfortable on a meditation cushion or mat. Keep a bowl of water, a pen and paper nearby. Close your eyes and place your left hand on your heart. Take 10 deep breaths here, trying to clear your mind with each breath. If invasive thoughts creep in and you lose track, start over until you’ve completed 10 breaths.

3.) Now grab your pen and paper and start writing down 3 things that hold you back, 3 things that keep you in a state of insecurity, and 3 things that make you play small. Challenge yourself to come up with as many as you can. You can keep it short or write paragraphs.

4.) When you’re done, think about anything that came up for you. Close your eyes and put your hands on your papers. Ask the universe for guidance in clearing these blockages for you.

5.) Take another piece of paper and write down 3 things you are proud of right now, 3 ways your confidence shines, and 3 things you want to accomplish by the end of the year. Fold the paper up and place it in a bowl of water.

6.) Hold a bowl of water with both hands and send a prayer of love and peace to yourself, your loved ones, and the world. Create a little peace prayer for those who are struggling. Leave a bowl of water under the moonlight or near a window.

An example of a prayer:

“I send a prayer of love and peace to myself, my loved ones, my neighborhood, my city, my country and the whole earth. I wish peace and tranquility in the hearts of those who are suffering. I wish for peace and wash the Mother Earth and all her creations. I send a prayer for healing to all those in need. Thank you.”

8.) Throw away the papers in the morning and use the moon water to wash your hands, or if you prefer, place the moon water on a garden or house plant.
