In episode 454, astrologers Chris Brennan and Nick Dagan Best explain the meaning of the first house in astrology and explore its meaning by looking at the different planets in the ascendant sign and ascendant.
We open the episode by talking about the general meaning of the first house, then move on to discuss each of the planets in the 1st house, starting with the Moon, then moving through the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
We will also talk about the lord of the ascendant in the houses, the lords of the other houses in the 1st house and the planets transiting the first house.

Astronomically, the 1st house is the rising sign in the entire zodiac system, which is the rising sign on the eastern horizon at the time of birth.
The first house is associated with the Ascendant, which represents the dividing line between heaven and earth and serves as a particularly powerful and personal point within the first house.
